How much do we know about Circadian system?
So little we know about how light actually effects us. What I observe mostly is people are quite aware of the negative outcomes of not being exposed to daylight, or living in darker climates (such as I am living in Sweden now) as causing depression, unhappiness, mad mood.. However very few is aware of the actual reason. Our bodies know it! Not only plants are benefiting from sunlight by producing food via photosynthesis but your body system is synchronizing its cycles with the cycles of the sun. The coordination is regulating circadian rhythms, such as determining the release of hormone:"melantonin" which estimates energy levels. Therefore when your body is not preaperad for the energy demand simply when is not aware if it is night or morning, you are welcomed to have sleepiness, drowsiness, stress and in long run which will result with depression.
