Future plans for the site,
-with new hospital for adult surgery (white marked)

-Pink marked building is the extension building for the Drottning Silvia's children's hospital. White architects are designing the new building, and for my thesis, I am working on proposals for the new play therapy department which is going to be on the ground floor.


volumes of the extension building and the pink marked zone is where the play therapy is located. The middle section gives the opportunity to open up both to the inner yard (protected by glass roof) and to the outer yard (where the playgrounds are going to be).

Östra Sjukhuset psychiatry clinic in Göteborg, is designed by White Arkitekter, and opened in 2006. It doesn't give the classic image of a clinic, and also as mentioned in White.se, the healing environment was thought to be important for s healing process, so they thought about working on a pleasant design from patient's view.
