The site:


Sweden > Göteborg > Östra (east) > Östra Sjukhuset >
The site is located in Östra Sjukhuset quarter, where is full of hospitals (as you see the all black buildings in zoom+ plan) but still surrounded by woods. The site for the existing and new children's hospital, they have green zones in the south. The new approach tends to include more green in site, letting the building opening up it self to the surroundings.

But I will make it more clear when I take photos from the site on a non raining and sunny day (which is likely very soon!)

Östra Sjukhuset psychiatry clinic in Göteborg, is designed by White Arkitekter, and opened in 2006. It doesn't give the classic image of a clinic, and also as mentioned in White.se, the healing environment was thought to be important for s healing process, so they thought about working on a pleasant design from patient's view. Workplaces and neuroarchitecture - do you know Christina Bodin Danielsson?

I have known quite a while about Christina Danielsson. Her name alwyas came up when I was digging into neuroarchitecture network in Sweden. She often works at detailed research about work place design, discussing pros and cons about activity based offices. Which was a trend once but not employers got to a point to realize the variations of working habits, and actually got it quite benefical down sizing squarmeters and introducing different functions Anyways, when i bumped into Christina at Skolhusgruppens event we chatted frankly on relation between consentration and heights, brain development and so on.
